The value of advertising with us
Visitor statistics have been growing steadily over the past few
months since this website went live at Christmas 2004. We don't
place much credence to hits and although these numbers are much
higher and look good (75,613 since 1 January 2006 to 7 May 2006), they
are not a true indication of the visitation to a site.
On average over the past 12 months
there have been visitors viewing this site from 101 different countries
with the top two being USA and, understandably, Australia, then the UK,
Canada and Germany.
Are you capturing a share of these visitors?
- There were 2.7 million visitor arrivals to Australia during the six
months to June 2007, an increase of 4 per cent relative to the same
period of the previous year.
- There were 5.6 million visitor arrivals during the year ended 30
June 2007, an increase of 3 per cent relative to the previous year.
- There were 402,000 visitor arrivals during June 2007, an increase
of 5 per cent relative to the same month of the previous year. [Reference: Tourism
Australia ]
- 812,200 visitors came to Tasmania in the twelve months to March
2007
(an increase of 1% over the year to March 2006). Visitors stayed on average 8.7
nights. [Reference: Tourism
Tasmania]
This website as at 25 October 2007.
- Since 1 January 2006 the total visitor views of this
website have reached 84,587 viewing 141,049 pages.
- Feedback
from people looking for accommodation and from those listed
on the site is very positive.
- The visitor trend is showing continued steady growth with a
dips in visitation rates in April 2006 and August 2007. On
an average month there are currently about 8000 visitors.
- Understandably, the larger centres have received the majority
of visits with Launceston continuing to lead the count. Holiday
destinations have increased in the past two months with St Helens
lifting to be the second most popular page.
